Born and raised in San Bernardino, California, VanSwan has performed worldwide in such shows as Man in The Mirror- a tribute to Michael Jackson and Rocket Man-a tribute to Elton John. 

 For six years, he has worked as a background singer for Motown legend and GRAMMY Award-winning artist Thelma Houston, best known for her international hit Don’t Leave Me This Way. 

 VanSwan’s latest release is his 6th album titled Growth (2024).  His previous album releases include the contemporary gospel album Nothing or Nobody (2020), a compilation of fan favorites and new music.  My Story (2008), Love Is (2018), and In My Own Words (2020). He has released one secular album, 30, in 2016. VanSwan writes songs that cross genres and generations.
